Act! Connect – What can you connect to?

In the past, connecting different tools to Act! was difficult, expensive and time consuming and typically required a 3rd party add-on or integration. With recent versions, however, Act! Connect simplifies the ability to set-up integrations.

Act! Connect uses the API for Act! to connect with many different tools that are available through Zapier, making it possible to connect with over a thousand different programs. These programs range from scheduling apps, to-do list apps, e-commerce and so much more. Many of the apps come with the free edition of Zapier. On the other end, there are some premium apps, which require a subscription to Zapier. Configuring these integrations (Zaps) in Zapier is very easy to set-up, and Zapier will guide you through the process.

Zapier - Act! Connect

To integrate with Act! all you need is to have the Act! Web API set-up and configured, so you can use the Zapier app to connect with it. Note that Act! Premium does not require a Zapier subscription; on the other hand, other programs you may try to connect could. To discover which apps are available, proceed to Zapier's website at www.zapier.com.

Recently we implemented an integration between Act! and Wufoo. Wufoo is an online form creation program that allows you to create forms and post them on your website. From our client’s website, Wufoo’s form gathers information regarding preferences for newsletter subscriptions. From this form, the data is then Zapped using Zapier into Act! where a new contact is created, and a field is updated stating which newsletter subscription the contact would like. This is only one example of many different Zaps that can be created.
